Our Approach
We have a process that works
So that we best understand the business objectives and KPI’s for the new website, we dedicate up to half a day as a discovery workshop with you and your team. If you are replacing an existing website we have the added benefit of reviewing historical performance, and discussing where the deficiencies lie for improvement with the new platform. Every new website build receives a fully documented SEO competitor Gap Analysis, which will show how to bridge the gaps and surpass your top competition-this includes a SEO copywriting guide specifically for your website.
The project commences with the information architecture, we work with you to structure content in the best way to make sure users find the answers to their queries and issues. We develop a sitemap and content plan, and deliver wireframe layouts for important pages. Once we have your approval our design team work on hand designing every page layout ready for final approval, and hand-off to our developer team.
Our development team commences the engineering component of the project, coding the new web platform from the ground up. Whilst we will generally utilise Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, we do not have a requirement, nor recommend using design templates or associated drag/drop page builders. We also use plugins sparingly- We prefer to build fit-for-purpose functionality to ensure complete compatibility and performance.
We launch the website to a private staging environment for you to review and provide any feedback prior to going live. This is for you to confirm all deliverables have been met and that the designs that have been approved have been integrated into the web environment as intended.
The App Team transfer your new website from a private environment and replace the incumbent website in the live environment. We do this utilising our dedicated hosting infrastructure, or we can set up on existing services. There is further post-launch work to be completed such as setting up API’s for Google Maps, testing web forms, and ensuring page speed is optimal.
